The Faulkner Journal: A peer-reviewed forum for the scholarly study of William Faulkner's life and works published by the University of Central Florida.

Mississippi Quarterly: Founded in 1948, the Mississippi Quarterly is a refereed, scholarly journal dedicated to the life and culture of the American South, past and present.

south: a scholarly journal: A peer-reviewed journal that embraces both the edge and the urgency of scholarly and sometimes creative inquiry into that region called "the south." It encourages global and hemispheric comparative scholarship linking the American South to other Souths.

The Southern Quarterly: An independent journal of the arts in the South published by The University of Southern Mississippi since 1962.

Modern Fiction Studies: Publishes essays on all aspects of modern and contemporary fiction welcoming theoretical perspectives.

American Literature: Peer-review journal published in cooperation with the American literature section of the Modern Language Association.

Conferences and Conventions

Modern Language Association: The MLA Annual Convention attracts over 9,000 scholars from around the country and around the world who present their research, visit the book exhibit, and mingle with their colleagues.

American Literature Association: A coalition of societies devoted to the study of American authors, including the William Faulkner Society.

Faulkner and Yoknapatawpha: Annual conference of Faulkner scholars in Oxford, Mississippi, sponsored by the University of Mississippi.

Modernist Studies Association: The Modernist Studies Association is devoted to the study of the arts in their social, political, cultural, and intellectual contexts from the later nineteenth- through the mid-twentieth century.

Society for the Study of Southern Literature: An organization dedicated to scholarship on writings and writers of the American South, it hosts a biannual conference.
